A PENSIONER went under the clippers, having all her hair shaved off for charity.
Volunteer for Dorothy House Clothes Shop, Ainslie Davies raised £1,000 on July 18 as she had her purple locks shaved off, celebrating with a party in the shop, and raising even more money for the charity close to her heart.

With increases in uptake - the hospice charity, Dorothy House supports around 4,000 people each year - and increases in costs, fundraising activities such as this are vital to the survival of this local and loved charity which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Resplendent in her sleek new look, Ainslie spoke her thanks to all those who donated, supported and called out encouragement as they drove.
