From June, on a date to be confirmed, the Clinic will share the Riverside premises in James Street West with other healthcare providers. It will be integrated with the Contraception and Sexual Health Service (CaSH) already based there to provide one joined-up service for people in B&NES, Wiltshire and Somerset. This follows a period of patient and public engagement last year.
Until June, both CaSH and the RUH Sexual Health Clinic will continue to operate as now. Relocating to the Riverside Health Centre forms part of the Trust’s overall Estates Redevelopment plan, as the RUH works to transform its Combe Park site. The space vacated will be incorporated into a new purpose-built RNHRD and Therapies Centre, scheduled to open in 2018.
