The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning of wind and rain starting today and continuing through tomorrow as Storm Ciarán set to disrupt southern parts of England and Wales.

Very strong and potentially damaging winds associated with Storm Ciarán are likely late Wednesday onwards into Thursday.

Met Office are warning of severe wind disruption:

Wednesday:

  • Further showers throughout the morning, easing for atime in the afternoon ahead of heavy rain later. Remaining windy with coastal gales, turning severe overnight as Storm Ciarán arrives. Maximumtemperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

  • Remaining unsettled with showers and longer periods of rain, heavy attimes. Storm Ciarán bringing damaging winds and severe gales through Thursday.
