During Covid-19, people have re-considered their careers and some have decided to follow their dreams and start their own business. The changed business landscape has created new openings and for many – now is a great time to start-up.

The Business Start-up program, from the Bath & North East Somerset Support Service, provides free training and support to help local residents explore their business ideas to see if they are viable, and if so, give guidance on taking them forward.

This program, run by Cool Ventures, offers the tools, information and practical advice needed by those considering starting up and launching a business. If you would like to explore whether running a business could be for you or if your ideas could work, book onto one of their regular free Starting in Business webinars.

For the first time, the Starting in Business webinar, presented by start-up expert Dr Emma Smith, will be run on Saturday morning, 27th of November. Cool Ventures recognise that a lot of people are busy working in the week, so this Saturday session will allow more people take advantage of the service.

Sue Marchant, Director at Cool Ventures said, “Enquiries about starting a business or getting help with running a business have increased significantly during the pandemic. We are really proud to be delivering this free service to help start-up and trading businesses within Bath & North East Somerset”.
