The West of England Bee Bold awards are back with a buzz and they’re bigger and better than ever. From schools to museums, factories to shops, all pollinator-loving organisations across Bath and North East Somerset are being encouraged to take part in regional Mayor Dan Norris’s Bee Bold Awards 2024.

Whether it’s creating a blossoming green patch in your business’s premises or helping build some nature-friendly allotments in your local patch, the Mayor’s Bee Bold Awards recognise all “pollinator pal” organisations doing their bit to back the region’s vital bee buddies.

Once again organisations can apply to be "Space for Nature" and "People for Nature" champions by visiting http://www.westofengland-ca.gov.uk/bee-bold.

Launching the Bee Bold Awards 2024, Mayor Dan Norris, who is delivering on his commitment to make the West of England the Bee and Pollinator Capital of the country, said: “Calling all Bath and North East Somerset bee buddy groups – please get involved and share your brilliant ideas to help the West’s pollinator heroes.

“With the Bee Bold Awards 2024, we’ll give the West of England’s bee-rilliant businesses, groups and organisations helping meet bees’ needs the recognition they deserve.”

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority has ambitious nature recovery targets. This includes increasing the abundance of wildlife by 30% by the end of the decade.

Bee Bold winners will be chosen by an expert panel and announced in early June. They will receive awards and top prizes.
