A Midsomer Norton recruitment business that was founded nearly 20 years ago and has grown to a nationwide business has been sold to become part of a larger group.

Riverside Recruitment, based in offices in South Road, employs four staff - and is described as a well-established, multi-sector recruitment agency.

Founded in 2007, Riverside provides temporary and permanent recruitment services across the South West of England, covering multiple specialisms.

It has been sold to Astri Holdings, joining a group which also comprises Active Staff and Elevation People Solutions.

Announcing the acquisition, Riverside stated that “while our values remain exactly the same, this new partnership gives our clients access to even greater resources and support”.

The company prides itself on connecting people and businesses through honest advice, personal service and lasting relationships.

Group operations director Lisa Armstrong said: “Riverside Recruitment has been a standalone business in Midsomer Norton for 21 years – following a recent acquisition by Astri Ltd, we are excited to share that we are now part of a national recruitment group alongside Active Staff and Elevation People.

“This, of course, enables us to offer a wider service, which we were somewhat restricted with in the past. The team remain the same, all very capable and dedicated recruitment consultants who are here to support people and businesses in working together. “

Posting on its blog, a statement said: “For nearly 20 years, Riverside Recruitment has been helping connect people and businesses. Today, we're excited to share that Riverside Recruitment is now part of a larger recruitment group.”

The sale was advised by KBS Corporate.

KBS Corporate’s Charlie Neville expressed his thanks to law firm Alston Asquith “for their support and efficiency when dealing with the legal aspects” of the transaction.
