RESIDENTS at Crandon Springs Care Home were recently able to enjoy an afternoon of music after tenor Gregory Steward performed a range of opera and show tunes from various films and stage shows.
Mr Steward, a classically trained singer, delivered a performance that filled the room with applause as residents joined in with the performance and showed their appreciation for Gregory’s singing.
Many of the residents would share a lot of praise for Mr Steward’s performance. Marion asked “Can I take him home?”, while Jane described the performance as “incredible,” and Roger said he was “very impressed.” Lisa summed up the afternoon as “truly wonderful.”
Care Home Manager Meg Cleal would also praise the performance. She said: “Music brings great joy and meaning to everyone here at Crandon Springs. We are committed to offering our residents a wide variety of musical experiences, from opera and classical to more modern favourites.
“Several of our residents are particularly fond of opera and classical, so having Gregory perform for us was an absolute treat. It’s also a great opportunity for talented local performers to share their art with a hugely appreciative audience.”
With the show proving to be a success, both residents and staff at Crandon Springs Care Home are hoping to see another performance from Mr Steward in the future.
