Dear Editor,

2025 has been another challenging year for us all.

The cost-of-living crisis has meant that we've all had to tighten our belts and watch what we spend. It's been encouraging to see how we, as a community, have pulled together to support those in need.

Thank you to everyone who has played a part in showing how much of a generous spirited, warm-hearted community Peasedown St John is. Whether that's to a neighbour in need, or a friend down the road, thank you!

The last 12 months have shown just how strong we are as a community when we work together. When we’re united, we can achieve so much more.

We’d like to thank all of those organisations and individuals who have gone above and beyond to serve and support others.

We are hoping that next year will be a much more positive year for us all. Many of our community services have continued to provide opportunities for local people to meet others, such as the village library, the Swallow Cafe at the Hive Community Centre, local sports clubs and faith groups. Plus, the Peasedown Community Trust has been able to continue to provide support to community groups, individuals and families whether that’s through their dementia awareness project, or their small grants scheme.

Peasedown residents will have recently received our Christmas newsletter through their door, which gives an overview of some of the issues we've been pushing forward on their behalf. If you've not received it yet, it'll be dropping through your letter box over the next few days.

Wishing you the very best this Christmas time.
