THE Avon Wildlife Trust’s Chew Valley Group will be hosting an illustrated talk on Thursday, February 26, entitled “OWLS - Natural History & Practical Conservation".
The talk will be given by Chris Sperring from the Hawk & Owl Trust.
In his talk Chris will focus on the British species of owls. He looks at the general natural history of each species, with the latest information on status and conservation measures being taken to help them.
Chris said: “I'm sure most will agree by the end of the talk, that the owl, being the predator, is a great indicator species of the health and wealth of our natural environment.”
The event will be held in the Chew Magna Old School Room, starting at 7.45pm. Admission is £2.50, to include refreshments.
