Children’s Art Week comes to Timsbury

Children’s Art Week, which runs from Saturday, 10th until Sunday, 18th June, will see thousands of children, their teachers and their families, descending on visual arts venues, schools, libraries and youth and community organisations across the UK, to be inspired, engaged and entertained by art.

This year, the Cam Valley Arts Trail Group will be offering taster sessions in peg weaving at Timsbury Fun Day on Saturday, 17th June from 12 noon until 5.30 p.m. at the Conygre Hall, Timsbury.

Timsbury’s Fun Day will this year see the Falconry School returning, with a flight display to show off the birds’ skills. There will be plenty to see and do on the day, with a giant slide, bouncy castle, inflatable wipeout and a treasure island pirate ship!

There will be performances on stage by the Stardust Majorettes, Jamie Woodland’s Black Belt Academy, Avon Dance Academy and Timsbury Theatre Group.

There will also be live music from Charlie Allen, Folk Lift Truck and Out ‘N’ Running.
