Norton Down members are busy preparing for Christmas events at the Church.

On Sunday, 11th December at 6 p.m., the annual candlelit Carol Service will be lead by member, Anne Grist. This will include readings and traditional Christmas Carols.

Mendip Brass Band will be performing an evening of Christmas Music at the Church on Thursday, 15th December at 7.30 p.m. The music will be a variety of well known pieces and will be interspersed with Christmas Carols. Members will be preparing Christmas refreshments to follow.

Donations for both of these events will be for our Norton Down Africa Fund. The Fund celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. Four Nursery Schools are being supported by the Fund. The children who have recently passed their interviews for state funded primary education will each be given their first uniform and a Children’s Bible at the end of this year. The Bibles have been organised by the local Bibles for Children charity. This is particularly special to us, as this is the first year we have been able to give this added gift.

Norton Down will be holding a Christmas morning service at 10.30 a.m. lead by Rev. Roly Sims. All will be made welcome at all or any of these special events. Christine Button
