Tabor Independent Methodist Church Timsbury

Tabor continues to hold fortnightly Services with the next one on August 3.

It will be a pleasure to welcome Mrs Kathy Dymond to lead the service. Kathy has not officiated at a service at our Church for a little while so it will be refreshing to hear her message.

The Tabor Ringers are taking a well-earned break until they return on September 1 for a social get-together. The AGM will be held on September 8 before settling down to rehearsing for the Autumn Season. We would welcome new members to come and join us, there is no need to read music.

Our secretary Mrs Barb Spalding would be happy to have a chat with you on 01761 752177. This is also the number for booking the group to play at an event.

In the heat of the past few weeks it has been cooler inside our lovely old chapel than outside. Our gardens are looking wonderful and well worth a visit if you are passing.

The morning of July 13 saw us celebrating a baptism after the chapel was the site of a wedding the day before. Our Minister Rev Andrew Prout officiated at both services which were well attended. On Sunday, July 20, our worship which included Holy Communion was led by Rev Margaret Crawshaw.

Whilst on Sunday, July 27, we welcome Mr Barry Speddings to lead our worship. We are open for coffee on Wednesday, July 16 and July 23 from 10.30am for an hour, you are all welcome to join us at either or both of these occasions.

The coffee morning held in sweltering heat on Saturday, July 12, was a great success. Our Hall was full of people enjoying good food and company. Two of our ladies competed in the Midnight walk and with our coffee morning over £1,450 was raised for Dorothy House.

Thank you everyone who supported us. The next charity event will be afternoon cream teas for Breast Cancer Care on Saturday, July 26. Open from 10am for coffee, teas to eat in, take away or delivery available within the local area.
