Tabor Independent Methodist Church, Timsbury
Mrs Margaret West led the most recent service at Tabor, remarking that she had once been told never to begin with an unfamiliar hymn – which is exactly what she did. She trusted that, as the music had been played in the church on various occasions in the past, the congregation would soon pick it up.
Margaret spoke about her recent visit to Paris, where she saw the rebuilding of Notre Dame. Following the fire that destroyed the cathedral, President Macron committed to a five-year plan to restore it.
Margaret will again lead worship on Sunday, August 31, at 11am. Everyone is welcome to attend our services, held fortnightly, or other events. Details can be found on the noticeboard outside the church in North Road.

The morning service on Sunday, August 17, was led by Rev Gregory Haynes. The theme was “Who is running with you?” He asked if any of us had ever run a marathon – and one of our ladies shared that she had walked one for charity. The readings were taken from the books of Hebrews and St Luke.
On Tuesdays, our Knit and Natter group meets from 2pm to 4pm. If you would like to pop in for a cuppa and a piece of cake, you will be very welcome.
Sunday morning worship takes place at 10.30am. All are welcome.
