Tabor Independent Methodist Church
An update on Tabor’s recent Harvest Festival Service: a total of 41.17 kilos of non-perishable items were donated to the Somer Valley Foodbank, along with £100 to UNICEF. We would like to thank everyone who contributed, whether through food donations or monetary gifts.
As Tabor continues with fortnightly services, the next will be held on November 9. There will be no service at Tabor that day, as we will be joining St Mary’s Church for the Remembrance Service.
All are welcome at any of our services or events, details of which can be found on the noticeboard outside the church on North Road, Timsbury.
Trinity Methodist Church
On Sunday, October 19 morning worship was led by our minister, Rev David Winstanley. He enjoyed a light-hearted game of conkers with one of the children, though it’s not clear who won. His Bible passage was taken from the book of Matthew, entitled “Jesus Begins to Preach.”
The usual sessions take place during the week, including Saturday coffee mornings from 10am, offering homemade cakes and good company.
Sunday morning worship at 10.30am will be led by Mike Honey. All are welcome.

Norton Down Methodist Church
We have been very busy at Norton Down Methodist Church over the past few weeks. We joined in with the Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising approximately £300 for cancer care. As well as raising our voices in celebration of Harvest, we auctioned all the fresh produce donated towards our organ fund, and donated all the tinned and packaged goods to Julian House to support their work with the homeless and those in need of extra help.
Our worship has recently been led by our minister, Rev Andrew Prout, and Jacqui Cobb. The next morning service will be led by Claire Laudica, beginning at 10.30am. Coffee, tea, and biscuits are served on Wednesday mornings from 10.30am, except on October 29 when we will be holding an away day.
Come and join us, we would be very pleased to see you, whether on a Sunday, a Wednesday, or both.
