Tabor Independent Methodist Church

Tabor and Timsbury Royal British Legion are holding a joint Christmas Bazaar on November 22, from 10.30am to 1pm, at the Legion Hall. There will be a raffle, a tombola and a range of Christmas-themed stalls.

A very important visitor will also be attending – Father Christmas (£1 per child). Children are invited to come along; if they have been good, they may receive a present. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the morning, with festive rolls served from noon.

The following day, Mrs Margaret West will lead worship, which will include Holy Communion.

All are welcome at any of our services or events. Full details are displayed on the noticeboard outside the Church in North Road, Timsbury.

Rev David Winstanley led Remembrance Sunday morning worship. His Bible passage was taken from the Book of Revelation and was entitled “The River of Life”.

The usual sessions continue during the week. Saturday coffee runs from 10am, with homemade cakes, jams, marmalade and chutneys available.

We will shortly be starting our Christmas menu, replacing bacon butties with turkey rolls served with stuffing, pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce. We also have plenty of Christmas cards and advent calendars for you to browse, so please pop in.

Sunday morning worship at 10.30am will be led by Rev Marcus Torchon.

At 9am on the first Sunday of the month there will be Bubble Church (for young families).

Bubble Church is a church service especially for babies, toddlers and young families (up to the age of eight-ish but older siblings are welcome) for 30 fun-packed minutes of puppets, music, story, prayer, coffee and croissants.

Here’s the deal, you turn turn up from 9am for a croissant and a coffee, then at 9.15am you’ll head over to a ‘bubble’ for the service.

On the first and third Sundays there will be Holy Communion and on the second, fourth and fifth Sundays it is morning praise.

All services generally last for an hour and half and include a 20 minute talk. Coffee is provided at the end of this service.
