MP Dan Norris cut the ribbon to officially declare the permanent opening of Keynsham Post Office.
The Post Office has opened under new management at the former Shoe Zone premises in High Street.
New owners Hardik and Rachana Pandya have fully refitted the premises for to accommodate the service and a One Stop franchise convenience store.
The branch had been operating on a short-term contract until the Post Office found a permanent solution in the Pandyas, who already operate Backwell Post Office.
Mr Norris MP (Labour, North East Somerset and Hanham) said: “It's great for Keynsham residents to once again have a permanent Post Office in our town. I know residents will really value the opportunity not just to post letters and parcels but also to do their everyday banking in the High Street.”
The full-screened counters offer a wide range of services and are open Monday to Saturday from 9am - 5.30pm. The Post Office service point, offering selected services, will be open Monday to Sunday from 7am - 9pm.
Customers of all major banks can use the counter for basic face-to-face banking during the hub’s opening hours. Community bankers from the brands that have the majority market share locally are available on a rota for more complicated issues.

Postmaster Hardik Pandya said: “My wife and I have been in retail for 18 years and we have taken our experience from operating Backwell Post Office to take on Keynsham Post Office and One Stop store. Whenever the shop is open, the Post Office is too.
“We have had lots of great feedback about the look of our new shop and Post Office. Rachana and I are very community-focussed, and we will both be based at this branch as we want to build up our business here and to get to know our customers and the needs of the community.”
