WEST London Coroner’s Court have said that the death of the former MP for Somerton and Frome was due to natural causes.
David Warburton, 59, was found dead in his home in Chelsea Crescent, Sands End, on Tuesday, August 26.
Because the Coroner’s Court have said the death was due to natural causes, this means that no inquest will be held.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police stated that his death was “being treated as unexpected but not suspicious.”
Mr Warburton was elected to the constituency of Somerton and Frome in 2015, a position he would hold until 2023 when he resigned following allegations of sexual misconduct, which he denied. These allegations were investigated by Parliament's Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme.
