PCSO’s Rob Hendra, Jon Hardy and PC Kieran Cox presented an assembly to the pupils of Paulton Junior School.

The team of three were able to introduce themselves as trusted adults within the community. The presentation was part of Avon & Somerset’s week of action concerning knife crime.

Afterwards, Year 5 and 6 classes recieved a visit from the officers who then delivered an enhanced workshop, focusing on the concerning dangers of knives and why we should all be vigilant and aware of these dangers to help keep safe.

PCSO Rob Hendra later said, “It was great how well each class behaved; all three of us found it very positive. The classes engaged with our safety message and we are hopeful that from these lessons, everybody will be safer in the future.”

Acting headteacher of Paulton Junior School, Sally Rawlings, also commented: “the assembly and coinciding workshops are particularly important at the moment, as they coincide with our anti-bullying week, and also with our school’s focus on staying safe”.
