VARIOUS open studios in the local area will be available for residents to visit throughout the second half of September.

Organised by Somerset Art Works, open studios can be visited at various times between Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 28.

Five studios in Coleford are participating, such as Alessandra Alexandroff showing a new series of abstract florals, while Melanie Moulding will present painting in oils and egg tempera.

Also in Coleford are David A Parfitt and Janette Kerr, with paintings, drawings and sketchbooks, Emma Scott using the analogy of a washing line to present abstract paintings and sculptures, and Andrew Scott George and Val George presenting luminous landscapes.

Other open studios around. North East Somerset can also be found in areas such as Chilcompton, Stoke St Michael and Frome.
