Monday, 24th July saw children in Peasedown St John treated to a fantastic Summer Playday with the help of a £1,000 grant from the Parish Council.
A range of fun activities were on offer such as crafts, messy play, spin painting, slacklining, a bouncy castle and even a toxic swamp! The event, which was provided by Bath Area Play Project, was the first of their Playdays for Summer 2023.
Cllr John Ogilvie-Davidson, who came along to see how the grant money was being spent, said: “It was fabulous to see such a well-attended event, with so many local families having fun. The Parish Council is delighted to support community events of this kind that bring people together in such a positive way.”
“We have a grant scheme which is open every year with a budget of approximately £4,000.
“If you run an organisation that benefits our community and would like to know more, please contact the Peasedown St John Parish Office.”
