A COMMUNITY open day is being held to explore the potential for locally owned renewable energy in Peasedown St John, Shoscombe, and Wellow.

The event, taking place at The Hive on Saturday, November 8, will run from 10am to 1pm and offers residents the chance to learn about practical next steps for wind and solar projects, should the community support them.

It will include talks at 10.30am and noon, stalls covering renewable energy options, potential savings on bills, and ways to get involved locally. Attendees can also receive free home energy advice from Bath and West Community Energy.

Families are welcome, with children’s activities, a play area, and access to the community library and fridge during the open day.
