Residents in the Somer Valley will have the chance to learn more about common shoulder and elbow injuries at a public talk later this month, organised by the Friends of Somer Valley Medical Group.
The event will take place on Thursday, May 22, at 6.30pm at Midsomer Norton Methodist Church and will be led by Mr Andrew Chambler, a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at SULIS, Bath Clinic and St Joseph’s Hospital in Newport.
Injuries to the shoulder and elbow are frequently caused by repetitive movements in sport, manual labour, or everyday tasks such as housework.
Mr Chambler, who trained at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School (Imperial College London) and completed a specialist fellowship in Oxford, will explain how these injuries can be treated and managed.
