There were a few different guesses for last week’s Mystery Photograph, well done to those of you who guessed Hallatrow Station correctly.

Hallatrow Station mystery photo
Well done to those of you who correctly guessed Hallatrow Station (Radstock Museum)

Thank you once again to Somerset Coalfield Life for supplying the Mystery Photograph.

Well done to the following for guessing Hallatrow correctly: Paul Hancock,  Dave Seddon, Simon Chard, Mike Ford, Gilmour Jones, Ross Perkins, Daren Edwards, Colin Button, Christine Oatley, Les Box, Hannah Selway, Richard Edwards, Neil Gillard, Roy Barnes, Val Rogers, Jonathan Griffin, Ben Stock, Brian Flower, Ruth Kew.

Thank you to Jeff Parsons who said: “I think this week your photo is of Hallatrow station on the former Frome - Bristol GWR line. Also a junction with the Camerton branch (Titfield Thunderbolt fame) which went through to the main Bath to Trowbridge/ Westbury/Weymouth line and connected thus  at Limpley Stoke.”

Thank you also goes to Eric Brain: “I think the ‘Mystery Picture’ in this week’s Journal is a view looking north of Hallatrow station on the Bristol to Frome (Bristol and North Somerset)  Railway.

“Highbury Hill is in the background top right and in the far distance a line swept off to the right to become the Hallatrow and Limpley Stoke branch, and to the left a siding went into Cloud Hill Quarry.”

Do you recognise where this week’s Mystery Photograph was taken?
