A TEN-day programme of cultural events, performances and community activities will take place across Frome in July 2025, as the town prepares to host the annual Frome Festival with a focus on its historic links to the textile industry.

From Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 13, Frome will come alive with music, art and culture. With a multitude of events taking place across ten days, the festival aims to celebrate the best of Frome while also bringing top-name acts to the town. Events spill out into venues and galleries, as well as pubs, parks and other community spaces.

The theme for Frome Festival 2025 is the town’s rich history in the textile industry. This heritage of creation links perfectly with the creative producers and artisans that make Frome so special today. The festival will celebrate this spirit in all shapes and sizes, with fashion shows, visual arts projects, industrial history talks, artisan markets and much more.

The community arts festival has been a popular fixture in the town since 2001 and aims to offer something for everyone – young and old – including music, theatre, comedy, spoken word, art, dance, film, workshops, children’s events and food or drink experiences. Expect a dash of Frome’s signature quirkiness throughout.

Popular highlights include the Hidden Gardens trail, the Open Art Trail and the famous Festival Food Feast, which showcases a wide variety of international street food along with free live music and entertainment.

At the heart of the festival is a programme of free and low-cost events, generously supported by the National Lottery Community Fund. With accessible activities every day and a busy programme for families and children, everyone has the chance to enjoy live music, art, literature and theatre.
