Farrington Forum shared on social media this week the launch of their ’Bag of Hope’, aiming to help the families and children of Ukraine in this incredibly tough time.
Taking to Twitter, Farrington Primary School shared a post:
’Farrington Forum have met and decided they would like to help the children in Ukraine who have been displaced by the current invasion of their country.
’They are hoping each of our Farrington Families will be able to return to school a ’Bag of Hope’, which Mrs Williams will take to a distribution centre in Westbury.
’The Forum created a list of items that they thought the children would like to receive to brighten their days. Some of theses ideas include the following:
Colour pencils, crayons or felt tips;
Activity booklets or sketch pads;
Bouncy balls or tennis balls;
Non-perishable food such as Pot Noodles;
Dog food or small dog toys;
Nappies for the babies.
’The forum is hoping that you are able to return the 100% recycled bag being sent home today with your donations by Monday, 7th March.’
If you are feeling lost and want to help, there are several ways in which you can help the people of Ukraine.
Donations to the distribution centre in Westbury are open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Daykin Estates, Unit 4 Rockhaven Business Park, Commerce Close, Westbury BA13 4FZ.
Alternatively, you can donate straight through The Red Cross website who have been working non-stop to get vital help to those impacted by this crisis:
