The countdown has begun for the first Taste of Timsbury food and drink festival, which takes place at Timsbury’s Conygre Hall this Saturday, 17th September, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entrance to the festival is free.

There will be cookery demonstrations and talks on a variety of topics, with the emphasis on sourcing food produced locally, growing your own food, eating and

living healthily and avoiding food waste.

Children will be keptentertained with food-related activity sessions lasting

approximately 45 minutes, giving the adults plenty of time to browse the stalls. Some rescued former caged chickens will be visiting, along with some local bees! The Connies Tea Room in Timsbury is providing light lunches, teas and coffee.

As the festival coincides with the Priston Festival, there will be a walk from Timsbury to Priston, along the beautiful Cam Valley, accompanied by qualified walk leaders.

There are some wonderful prizes to be won in the draw – a night for two with

dinner at The Pig near Bath boutique hotel; a night in a luxury B&B Radford Villa in Timsbury; a personal trainer for a month and a hot stone massage.

The festival has been made possible by generous sponsorship from Timsbury Parish Council and Curo. For details and a programme, visit: www.tasteoftimsbury.co.uk
