The 2023 series of Trio Paradis Café Concerts begins on Friday, 27th January at 1pm at St John’s Church Hall, Keynsham, continuing on every last Friday lunchtime of the month, moving back into the church on 31st March.

Organised by Somerset-based Musicians South West, a not-for-profit group who facilitate ‘Friendship through Music’, Café Concerts are informal feel-good music events with a pop-up café where you can meet friends and make new ones, or simply relax and enjoy beautiful music for piano and strings in a range of styles.

Organiser Jacquelyn Bevan, said: “We keep our daytime events free with donations invited to make sure everyone can attend.”

January’s music is inspired by aspects of time and includes Ravel’s suite from L’Heure Espagnole, Grieg Morning and Circulo by Spanish composer Turina, a short, atmospheric trio with three movements: Dawn, Midday and Evening. Concerts last 45 minutes and entrance is free with pay-what-you-feel donation invited.

Refreshments - tea, coffee and home-made cakes - are available in the pop-up café half an hour before the concert. No need to book, just turn up early for the best seats.

Trio Paradis also play series at St Thomas’s Wells, Midsomer Norton and many other SW venues.
