FROME Town Council has a new councillor following a by-election on February 10.
Liberal Democrat Richard Pinnock took the Park Ward seat by just six votes, with Grace Brighouse of Independents for Frome a close second.
Conservative Dawn Denton received 84 votes in the election which had a 18.9 percent turnout.
The newly elected councillor has been a local campaigner for many years and was welcomed into post by leader and chair of Frome Town Council, Fiona Barrows.
She said: “We congratulate Richard on his election and look forward to working constructively with him for the benefit of Park Ward and Frome as a whole.”
The by-election was held following the resignation of former town councillor Max Wide who stood down in November 2025.
