Local Line Dance instructors, Sally and Fran, helped by local dancers from across the area have helped to raise an amazing £3,011 for Alex, known as ‘the boy with the amazing smile’.
The fundraiser is the ninth of its kind and was held on Saturday, 11th March at Paulton Rovers.
This year’s appeal was for Alex, who needs round the clock care due to a life-limiting condition and has many complex needs.
The money is being raised for a new eye gaze system which will give him the chance to communicate with others around him.
The heavily subscribed event raised the whopping total through the admission fee, sale of tea and cakes, raffles and charity auctions.
Sally and Fran would like to thank all who attended and everyone who gave a small donation, lent their support and local people and businesses who donated goods for the raffle and charity auction.
Between them the dance duo have raised thousands of pounds for charity and good causes over the years, including Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and the Wallace and Gromit Appeal.
