Dorothy House Hospice Outreach Centre, Peasedown St John has this week welcomed a cheque donated by the Radstock and Midsomer Norton Lions for £2,000.

A spokesperson for the charity said:?“With money that has been donated by The Radstock and Midsomer Norton Lions, we are planning to purchase equipment which will allow one of our rooms to be used as a clinic at the Peasedown St John

Outreach Centre. These include a medication fridge, towels and chairs that are antimicrobial, making them safe for patient use.

“We hold a coffee morning every Thursday for anyone affected by a life-limiting condition. Often, it is a lifeline for many within the local community, thus we would like to be able to buy a coffee machine which will enhance overall experience when using Dorothy House Hospice Outreach.

“Thank you so much for your generous donation, it really will make a difference.”
