RESIDENTS and staff at Kingfisher Lodge care centre in Saltford threw a Mad Hatters Tea Party for Brain Tumour Research on ‘Wear a Hat Day’.

All kinds of silly hats were donned including daffodils, cowboys, traffic cones, Scottish and French hats as well as some official Barmy army bucket hats that toured with the England cricket team Down Under.

The morning was to raise awareness as well as donations for a great charity, while all tucked into a pot of tea and the delicious homemade cakes for their efforts.

Residents at Kingfisher Lodge, Nita wore an Australian corked hat without hesitation and said: “It’s such a great cause that I don’t even mind my hair getting messy!” although she’d just visited the in house hair salon that morning.
