It has been announced that Midsomer Norton’s brand new office for Andrews Property Group has signed up as Headline Sponsor for this year’s Midsomer Norton Carnival, which takes place on 14th November.
This represents a considerable coup for the Carnival Association, in line with its strategy of gaining support from leading commercial organisations. This year’s event, therefore, will be the ‘Andrews Midsomer Norton and District Carnival’.
“As a company offering a whole range of property services to our local community, it’s great to know that by linking the Andrews brand to the Carnival, we can not only help secure the future of the event, but also promote what we offer at the same time,” said James Herniman, Branch Manager of Andrews.
This week, Carnival organisers have also launched a campaign to sign up local community groups to collect on the night.
“Ultimately one of the main aims of Carnival is to raise money for good causes. What many local groups don’t realise is that they can contact us, register their members as collectors and 40% of everything they collect is returned for their group,” says Hazel Franklin, Secretary of the Midsomer Norton and District Carnival Association.
Carnival organisers have 300 collecting buckets – and the initiative is open to groups throughout the Somer Valley.
