Mendip's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A303, from 6am May 9 to 6am October 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 both directions Podimore lane closures/contraflow for Sparkford to Ilchester improvement scheme.
And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A36, from 8pm May 16 to 4am May 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions, junction with A366 to junction Branch Road. 2-way signals for carriageway repairs.
• A36, from 9pm May 20 to 8am May 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Standerwick traffic lights in place for Network Rail works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
