SOMER Valley House in Midsomer Norton has been announced as one of the UK’s top 100 care homes for 2026 by Online Care Finder Lottie.

The home which provides residential, dementia and respite care is proud to be included on the list of the online platform which allows users to compare care options across the country.

Now in their second year, the Lottie Awards recognise and celebrate care homes across the UK that demonstrate exceptional commitment to residents and families.

Lottie's team conducted a comprehensive, data-driven review of every published care home listing on its platform, assessing them against the criteria that matter most to families when choosing care, including independent regulator ratings, enquiry handling, facilities and activities, and verified family reviews.

General Manager at Somer Valley House, Rhona Sievewright, said, “We’re so unbelievably proud to be named a top 100 care home by Lottie.

“We’ve created a real community here at Somer Valley House, which we couldn’t have done without our residents, team, families, and the people in our area.

“Thank you to everyone who contributed to making Somer Valley House a top 100 care home!”

CEO and co-founder of Lottie, Will Donnelly, added: “The Lottie Awards are about recognising the incredible dedication of care professionals who make a real difference in people's lives every day.

“To be named among the Top 100 from more than 14,000 care homes across the UK is a huge achievement.

“These care homes are not just meeting residents' needs; they're redefining later living by creating vibrant and supportive communities that deliver exceptional care and experiences.”
