LIB DEM MP Anna Sabine has warned of increases in mortgage payments by as much as £2,357.

An analysis commissioned by the Lib Dems has revealed the potential for huge increases to mortgage payments as Trump’s war with Iran continues.

People in Frome and East Somerset, looking to take out a new mortgage could be facing massive increases of as much as £1,647 in Somerset and £2,357 in B&NES compared to before the start of the war.

According to MoneyFacts, the average interest rate for a two-year deal has jumped from 4.84 percent to 5.87 percent.

Ms Sabine said: “The government must crack down on this cost of living crisis and deliver proper proposals to get costs down, fast.”
