The Parish Council is pleased to announce that they have installed new play equipment in Peasedown St John.
The new Multi Use Games Area on Beacon Field has already been completed, together with a youth shelter on the Recreation Ground. Works will soon be starting on new play equipment for younger children on the Recreation Ground and a new basket swing.
Councillor Jo Davis, one of the two councillors responsible for driving the project forward, said: “We are pleased that the new games area on Beacon Field will give young people a space where they can have a proper game of basketball or football, and we think it has improved what was previously a rather untidy area of the field.”
Councillor Kathy Thomas said: “The new basket swing, youth shelter and other play equipment on the Recreation Ground will replace some older equipment which has reached the end of its useful life.
“I’m delighted that the refurbished Millennium Play Area will be ready in good time for children to enjoy during the summer.”
