THE Midsomer Norton and Radstock Branch of the Royal British Legion has welcomed a new Standard Bearer after two years without one, just in time for the town’s upcoming Remembrance service.

Sixteen-year-old Aiden Flavell, a Writhlington School pupil and member of the Combined Cadet Force, has taken on the role and recently began training under the guidance of Somerset County Royal British Legion Standard Bearer, John Gallop.

The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading Armed Forces charity and one of its largest membership organisations.

The annual Remembrance Parade is set to take place in Midsomer Norton on Sunday, November 9, bringing together local residents, veterans, and community groups to honour those who have served and sacrificed in conflict.
