Many readers will be aware of the popular Trio Paradis monthly café concerts at Midsomer Norton Town Hall. The trio (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Lisa Betteridge - violin & Linda Stocks - cello, pictured) have played over one hundred concerts in the Assembly Room at the Town Hall since their starting the series in 2012.

As you will have seen in recent news the Town Hall is undergoing building works as part of a long-awaited transformation project, but both Trio Paradis and the Community Trust are determined to keep the concerts going throughout the works and so they will be moving to nearby St John’s Church until the new year.

Dates for these concerts at St John's are (all Fridays at 12.30pm): 2nd September - Romantic Trios, 7th October - A Rainbow, 4th November - Travelling with the Gypsies, 2nd December - Winter Wonderland.

Trio Paradis are founder members of Musicians South West, who bring live music to new audiences, especially to those with limited access to live performance, and are supported by Midsomer Norton Community Trust and the Town Council. The Friday lunchtime concerts are funded by pay-what-you-feel donations to enable everyone to attend. All the organisers have extended their thanks to Rev Guy Scott and the Churchwardens at St John's for helping the concerts to continue.
