Residents of Westfield are warmly invited by Westfield Parish Council to call in to the Methodist Church Hall, Wells Road on Tuesday, 22nd January any time between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. to look at the new planning application for a Sainsbury's foodstore and petrol station at Wells Road/Cobblers Way.
This is a Consultation Day specifically for Westfield residents. Representatives of Sainsbury's will not be in attendance – it is simply a chance for local people to look at the plans and make any comments to the Parish Council.
Like all local Councils, the Parish Council does not have any decision making powers in relation to planning matters. It has called this public Consultation Day in order to help gauge the opinion of local people, before making its comments to B&NES.
If you would like to look at the plans online, please go to http://www.bathnes.gov.uk">www.bathnes.gov.uk and click 'view planning applications' and then click the 'special interest' tab where you will see the planning application listed. It is possible to make comments directly to B&NES, as the planning authority for this area, via their website or by post.
The deadline for public comments at B&NES is 11th February 2013. If you would like to copy the Parish Council in to your comments, please email them your comments on council@westfieldparish council.co.uk or send them to Westfield Parish Council, The Oval Office, Cobblers Way, Westfield BA3 3BX before 11th February.
