A petition calling for Bath Central Library to remain at its current site, rather than be moved to the Council’s One Stop shop in Manvers Street in an attempt to save money, has reached over 1,500 signatures.

Bath and North East Somerset Council are planning to move the Bath Central Library into Lewis House and Midsomer Norton Library into the Hollies. It has been promised that these moves will offer a modernised service and would save the Council £800,000 a year.

Many residents, however, believe the move will offer the bare minimum of library services.
