PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works.
Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities.
Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council and Somerset Council in Midsomer Norton and the surrounding towns:
• A ‘No Parking At Any Time’ is set to be put in place on Lower Bristol Road, Bath. Objections and representations with respect to the proposal, together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent by Thursday, October 9.
• Milsom Street, Bath, will be closed and have a prevention of parking order from Thursday, October 2, to Sunday, October 5, to enable the facilitation of the Bath Autumn Fayre.
• New Bond Street, Bath, will be closed and have a prevention of parking order from Thursday, October 2, to Sunday, October 5, to enable the facilitation of the Bath Autumn Fayre.
• Quiet Street, Bath, will be closed and have a prevention of parking order from Thursday, October 2, to Sunday, October 5, to enable the facilitation of the Bath Autumn Fayre.
• Green Street, Bath, will be closed and have a prevention of parking order from Thursday, October 2, to Sunday, October 5, to enable the facilitation of the Bath Autumn Fayre.
• Dumpers Lane, Chew Magna, will be closed from Monday, October 6, to Friday, October 10, to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer rehab and maintenance.
• Church Lane, Batheaston, will be closed from Monday, October 6, to Monday, December 22, to enable Wessex Water to lay a new sewer system in the road.
• Van Diemen’s Lane, Lansdown, will be closed between the hours of 9am and 4pm from Monday, October 6, to Tuesday, October 7, to enable Wessex Water to replace a damaged manhole cover in the centre of the carriageway.
• Orchard Way, Peasedown St John, will be closed from Wednesday, October 8, to Thursday, October 8, to enable Wessex Water to replace a damaged manhole cover in the centre of the carriageway.
• West Avenue, Oldfield Park, will be closed between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm on Tuesday, October 7, to enable Openreach to carry out a pole replacement works on the road.
