RESIDENTS in Radstock and around the area are being advised by Somerset Council that recycling collections may face delays today (Wednesday, September 24) due to operational issues.

The areas affected are in and around Frome, Norton St Philip, Rode and Radstock.

A council spokesperson confirmed: “If residents’ recycling has not been collected, they are asked to leave boxes and bags out, and crews will return the next day – there is no need to report it.

“Crews will be working to ensure recycling is collected and will also be operating on Saturday if required.

“Households whose collections were missed on Tuesday, September 23, in Wells, Westbury-sub-Mendip, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, Chilcompton, Priddy, Holcombe, Oakhill, Dulcote, Coleford and Draycott will have their recycling collected today, Wednesday, September 24.”

If it has been more than 24 hours and the recycling has still not been collected, residents should report a missed collection online at: www.somerset.gov.uk/missed-collection
