PEOPLE in Midsomer Norton and Radstock are being urged to make sure they’re registered to vote in the Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner election.

Residents need to check their voter identification to check they are entitled to have their concerns represented in the election which is taking place on Thursday, May 2.

The Police and Crime Commissioner oversees the local police force for each area to ensure they’re prioritising the issues that matter to people the most.

The deadline to register to vote is midnight on Tuesday, April 16, and Somerset Council is urging people to register as soon as possible to avoid missing the deadline.
