Bath and North East Somerset Council will introduce a temporary road closure of the A39, High Littleton from its junction with Langfords Lane to its junction with Highbury Road, High Littleton.
The road will be resurfaced on Monday, January 25th for a maximum period of two months. The alternative route is from the south west; Follow the A37 south west to its junction with the A39. Turn right at the traffic signals and follow the A39 north to Chelwood roundabout turn right onto the A368 and head west to Marksbury. Turn right onto the A39 at Marksbury and drive south west through Farmborough to High Littleton. From the north west; follow the above instructions in reverse.
B&NES will also temporarily close Radford Hill, Timsbury, from its junction with Weekesley Lane in a northerly direction for approximately 625 metres.
This order is required because of work on a BT pole that is heavily decayed by HSC Worcester Ltd on Wednesday, January 28th for a maximum period of two days. This is anticipated to be for one day. The alternative route is South Road - Hook Hill - Weekesley Lane – Vice Versa.
Hazel Terrace in Westfield will also temporarily close from a point outside property number 31 to outside property number 34 to allow works on a dangerous cover by Bristol Water on Tuesday, January 26th for a maximum period of three days. The alternative route is Fosseway – Charlton Road – Lynton Road.
B&NES will also introduce a temporary road closure in Bath Hill, Wellow from its point outside property Orchard Lea to its junction with High Street for heavy tree cutting, spanning, splicing and testing to activate two distribution points by Truespeed Communications on Monday, January 25th for a maximum period of seven days. The alternative route is High Street - Wellow Road – A367 – Combe Hay Lane – Bath Hill – Vice Versa.
