Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 9am July 14 to 3pm August 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bathampton to Beckington, rolling stop and go boards for drainage works.

A4, from 10pm July 16 to 5am August 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 both directions London Road to Box roundabout - mobile lane closure for horticulture (cutting and planting).

A36, from 6am March 1 to 6am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both direction Limpley Stoke, two-way traffic lights for carriageway works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A46, from 8am July 28 to 4pm July 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 Both Directions M4, junction 18 to Tadwick Verge works for horticulture.

A36, from 9am to 3pm on July 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bathampton to Monkton Combe, multiway traffic lights for inspections.

A46, from 8pm July 31 to 6am August 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 Both Directions M4, junction 18 to Cold Ashton multi-way signals for horticulture.

A4, from 9pm August 1 to 6am August 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 southbound, London Road to Box roundabout carriageway closure for drainage work, diversion via Cold Ashton, A420, east to Chippenham, A350 south to A4, Non-HGV via London Rd West and East.

A46, from 8am to 4pm on August 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 Both Directions Cold Ashton Rbt to London Road Rbt verge works for horticulture.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
