Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 5.30pm May 21 to 4.30pm May 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Bathampton to Bathwick two-way traffic lights installed by National Grid and Wales and West Utilities for emergency cable fault and gas leak.

A36, from 6am March 1 to 6am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both direction Limpley Stoke, two-way traffic lights for carriageway works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A4, from 9pm May 27 to 6am May 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 westbound, Bathford roundabout to London Road roundabout - carriageway closure for drainage works, diversion via - London Road East, London Road West and rejoin A46.

A4, from 9pm June 6 to 6am June 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A4 southbound, London Road to Box roundabout carriageway closure for general maintenance, diversion via Cold Ashton, A420, east to Chippenham, A350 south to A4, Non-HGV via London Rd West and East.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
