The residents of St Peters Road recently came together for a surprise 90th Birthday celebration for Mrs Terezia Korcsck, who came to this country as a young refugee from Hungary.

The party was held at the Fosseway Cafe who provided a superb platter of savoury food for eighteen people.

A special cake was eaten and after the English rendition of happy birthday the Hungarian version was played causing happy tears!

A birthday present of a Jack and Jill water feature was presented along with a glorious fragrant rose and planter.

The celebrations continued into the night with glasses of bubbles a plenty.

The residents would like to pay tribute to Terezia as a kind, extremely generous person who is always willing to share her stories with a cup of tea or something stronger and a never ending supply of cake!

We would also like to thank and praise the fantastic staff at the Fosseway cafe for all their kindness and hard work. The residents meet on a monthly basis for lunch at the cafe and nothing is ever too much trouble for them all, we are so lucky to have that with fantastic affordable food in our area.

Rachael and Eddie Liddiard,
