The Met Office have now issued a rare red weather warning from 7am tomorrow morning (Friday, 18th February)!#StormEunice is set to bring extremely strong winds across parts of the South West of England. The public was warned yesterday to take precautions following an amber weather warning for Storm Dudley from 4pm yesterday, to 12am today.

Storm Eunice looks to follow on from the early hours of Friday, 18th February, causing significant disruption due to the extremely strong winds.

Parts of the UK could be hit by gusts of wind of up to 90mph, confirms the Met Office.

We are warning people to be vigilant and take care when going outside as expectations for flying debris could result in a danger to life.

The Met Office have confirmed the strong winds may result in damage to buildings and homes, with roofs and power lines seeming particularly fragile. It is expected that roads, bridges and railway lines are likely to close, with possible delays and cancellations to bus, train and flight services.

The public should be aware of potential power cuts which could affect other services such as mobile phone coverage and internet.

The Journal will update as Met Office confirms more.
