With the next challenge being to trek the Great Wall of China, local fitness instructor, Bev Nichols, held a big fundraising Zumba Summer Party with the help of local friends.

She says: “Together, we raised an incredible £490 in entrance fees and £656 on the Mulberry Handbag raffle.

Giving a grand total of an amazing £1,146 raised for the wonderful charity, Dorothy House, in memory of my dear friend, Sue Keogh.

“Well done to Kerina Jouhning for winning the lovely prize kindly donated by Mulberry.

“I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that has supported this pink/purple party event and to everyone that bought a raffle ticket. Thank you so so much!

“A big thank you to Mulberry for kindly donating the beautiful leather backpack. Thank you to Terry and Annette Andrews, who kindly let me hire the lovely Westhill Sports and Community Centre for free.

“Thank you to Jenny and Dave for all your great help and time with setting up, the raffle and the door, and thank you to Shelley for getting up and teaching your fun dances.

“And finally, a huge thank you to everyone who has supported my fundraising so far. My next event will be the Great Wall of China hike challenge in September!”
