Trinity Methodist Church

OUR Mothering Sunday morning worship was led by Rev David Winstanley. The singing group began the service with new hymns and choruses, and the theme was The Lords Prayer. The Gospel reading was taken from St Matthew.

The usual sessions take place during the week. Saturday coffee from 10am. Homemade cakes and good company.

We will be collecting Easter eggs for the local Foodbank. If you would like to donate, please pop one into the basket any time the Church doors are open.

Sunday morning worship at 10.30am will be led by Margaret West. All are welcome.

THE Mothering Sunday Service was led by Mrs Margaret West, when the theme was directed to “Mothering”. Margaret asked for remembered traits/characteristics of the congregation’s Mothers and these were built into a Prayer. In her address she reflected on the love/work and, in some cases, hardships/heartaches of mothers.

She quoted a passage from the Women’s World Day of Prayer Service citing the life of Beatrice in Nigeria and finished her address with the words: “We may be channels of Gods’ Mothering love in this needy world”. Bunches of daffodils, made by Mrs Lyn Lye, were handed out at the end of the Service.

Margaret will also lead the Palm Sunday Service on March 29, and the Easter Sunday one on March 5, which will include Holy Communion. Both services commence at 11am.

All are welcome to any of our services or events, details of which are on the noticeboard outside of the Church in North Road, Timsbury.
